| Description | LC-USZ62-76929: German submarine, U 20, on Danish coast, November 1916. U 20 is known for sinking RMS Lusitania on May 7, 1915. She was grounded on November 4, 1916 and destroyed by her crew the next day. Note, that the torpedoes which had been exploded in the bow to destroy the ship. Bain Collection. (7/17/2015). |
