Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Lockheed LC-130R Hercules (BuNo 160740, c/n 382-4725, ex USAF 76-0491) at the Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica. This aircraft was converted to an LC-130H (USAF s/n 76-3301) and transferred to the 139th Airlift Squadron, 109th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard, which operates the LC-130H for Arctic and Antarctic transport and support missions.
