Summary
| Description | L9 was built by William Denny and Brothers, Dumbarton and was launched on the 29th of January 1918.The British L class submarine were originally planned under the emergency war programme as an improved version of the British E class submarine. The scale of change allowed the L class to become a separate class. L9 was sunk during a typhoon in Hong Kong harbour on 18 August 1923. She was salved on 6 September 1923 and then decommissioned. |
