Summary

Description The Japanese light cruiser Katori burning off Truk, after having been damaged by U.S. Navy aircraft. It was later sunk by gunfire from USS New Orleans (CA-32), USS Minneapolis (CA-36), and torpedoes from USS Radford (DD-446) and USS Burns (DD-588) 74 km north-west of Truk (07.45N, 151.20E).
