Nederlands: Het glasfragment refereert naar een stèle gevonden in Karkemish ( huidige grens Turkije –Syrie¨) met Hettitische pictogrammen. Dit geschrift is verwant met de Egyptische hiërogliefen, maar ook met het spijkerschrift in Mesopotamië. Het ontstond rond 1500 v.C., telt 220 pictogrammen en leest van rechts naar links.
