English: Pictured (left) is HMS Penzance (M106) and HMS Brocklesby (M33) off the coast of Bahrain whilst deployed on Op KIPION.
HMS Penzance is Sandown Class minehunter and HMS Brockles a Hunt Class. While these two classes of ships are very similar, the Sandown-Class can detect mines at variable depths down to around 200m, whereas the Hunt-Class has a hull mounted wideband sonar which detects and classifies small mines at shallower depth.
