Summary

Description The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Hunter (H35) in drydock at Gibraltar on 9 July 1937. This vessel was damaged by a mine on 13 May 1937 off Almeria, Spain, during the Spanish Civil War, suffering eight men killed and nine injured. The ship was towed to Gibraltar; the forward boiler room had been wrecked. The ship later was rebuilt at Malta and ran trials in early November 1938. In the background is HMS Greyhound (H05).
