Summary

Description "County" Class (Batch 2) Destroyer "HMS Glamorgan", 6,200 tons, launched 1964, commissioned 1966. She is undergoing a refit on return from the Falklands War. The extensive damage to the aft superstructure and hanger was caused by a direct hit from an Argentine Exocet missile. She had also suffered earlier underwater damage from two bombs dropped from three IAI Dagger fighter-bombers. At the Portsmouth Navy Day, 08/82. Scanned photograph taken with a Canon AE-1 Program.
