| Description | Thew forward "A" & "B" single 4.5" DP gun turrets of "C" Class ("Ca" Group) Standard War Emergency Destroyer "HMS Caprice", 1,710 tons, launched 1943, moored next to the cruiser "HMS Belfast" in the Thames, 1973. "Caprice" served in the Home Fleet 1944-45 on Arctic Convoy duties and on carrier strikes against German bases and shipping in Norway; in 1945 she went to the East Indies Fleet. Scanned photograph taken with a Kowa SET. |
