Description AWM caption : "ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT. 1940-07-21. MEMBERS OF THE SHIP'S COMPANY, BOB LINKLATER (LEFT) AND JACK CLARK, SITTING ON THE 6 INCH GUN BARRELS OF A TURRET OF THE CRUISER HMAS SYDNEY (II) AS THEY PREPARE THEM FOR REPAINTING AFTER THE PAINT HAD BEEN DAMAGED DURING THE ACTION OFF CAPE SPADA. TWO FLEET RESERVE RATINGS ARE WORKING ON THE BARRELS IN THE BACKGROUND. SIMILAR WORK IS BEING CARRIED OUT ON B TURRET WHICH IS TRAINED TO PORT WITH THE RIGHT GUN ELEVATED."
