" Pièce emblématique sur les Conquêtes des François en Amérique reprises par les Anglais en 1755 " NB : gravure souvent présentée comme contemporaine de la prise de Louisbourg en 1758. Il n'en est rien. L'illustration a été réalisée en 1755, après la capture par l'escadre de Boscawen, de deux navires français venus ravitailler la ville, au début de la guerre de Sept Ans.
