| Description | Surrender of German U-boats, 1945. German submarine, U-3008, at sea. She was renamed USS U-3008 in August 1945. Photographed by aircraft from Naval Air Station, Key West, Florida, April 15, 1948. She was scuttled in 1954 but was raised a year later and sold for scrap. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2015/07/08). |
