Summary
| Description | O Forte da Archeira, localizado num local estratégico do sistema defensivo das Linhas de Torres (obra militar n.º 128), é uma estrutura de grande dimensão que pertencia à Primeira Linha Defensiva, a par com os fortes de Catefica e Feiteira, localizados um pouco mais a norte, cujo objetivo seria a defesa dos vales de Ribaldeira e Runa. Apresenta um perímetro de 436,48 m e uma área de cerca de 9.534,44 m2, estava munido com seis bocas-de-fogo (calibre 12) e uma guarnição de 500 homens. Apesar de não possuir canhoneiras, no seu interior existem vestígios do que aparenta ser um paiol semienterrado.
