English: Fort Albert, Freshwater. Another mystery. Not on the 1" map, which just shows 'Cliff End'. It looks as if it is being converted to a house, flats or hotel and the drive is fenced off. The slope on the right has notices saying Keep Off - Danger - Slipper Clay (I can't remember the exact words). but in dry weather there was no problem. At the top one has to go through a holiday park, with Private No Entry signs at the other end! The photo was taken from SZ330890. |
