| Description | A U.S. Navy McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A-17-MC Hornet (BuNo 162830) from Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-195 Dambusters in flight on 17 August 1991. VFA-195 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 5 (CVW-5) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway (CV-41) until August 1991. As the Midway was being retired, CVW-5 changed to the USS Independence (CV-62) at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (USA), in August 1991 and exchanged their F-18A for newer F-18Cs. |
