Español: CHILEAN CRUISER PRESIDENTE PINTO - The cruiser Presidente Pinto was a protected cruiser that served the Chilean Navy. Belonging to the Presidente Errázuriz class together with her sister ship Presidente Errázuriz, President Pinto was commissioned to France along with other projects as part of a naval modernization plan promoted by President José Manuel Balmaceda. President Pinto's short career was riddled with incidents even before serving in Chile, causing the ship to gain a bad name within the navy and to be assigned to minor duties. President Pinto's career ended abruptly in 1905 after he ran aground by accident.
