English: Cowport, Berwick upon Tweed Cowport is the only Elizabethan gateway remaining in Berwick's Walls. Its vaulted tunnel through the rampart was defended by a portcullis, and still has a massive 18th century wooden gate. This view is from inside the Walls, looking towards the North Sea.
