Description
English: Constantinople, from HMS Caesar
image: a view of the large harbour at Constantinople from the deck of the Royal Navy battleship HMS Caesar. A small part of the battleship's deck is visible in the immediate foreground, moored up against a wharf, with another warship moored on the other side. In the distance a series of large merchant ships and liners are moored at the harbour's edge, set against the enormous dome of the Hagia Sophia and the minarets and domes of the Blue Mosque, which dominate the horizon. Local sailing boats are also moored within the harbour.
