Français : Combat naval à la hauteur de Louisbourg, le 21 juillet 1781. Le 21 juillet 1781, les frégates françaises de 32 canons l’Astrée et l’Hermione, commandées respectivement par Lapérouse et Latouche-Tréville, rencontrent cinq bâtiments anglais, au large des côtes d'Amérique du Nord. Après quelques heures de combat, le HMS Jack a descendu son pavillon et le HMS Charlestown est démâté de son grand mât de hune. Profitant de l'obscurité à la nuit tombante ce dernier s'éclipse, laissant sur place les deux frégates françaises. Guerre d'Indépendance américaine.
