Summary
DescriptionCivilians leaving Paysandu.jpg
English: Civilians leaving the besieged Paysandú to settle in a nearby island wich would become known as Isla de la Caridad (Charity Island). The photo was probably taken by Emile Lahore (1825–1889). The only other photographer around belonged to the Bate y Cia. Studio owned by George Thomas Bate (1835–1882). The Bate y Cia took photos of damaged buildings.
