In this illustration Alexander the Great seated in the center is being secretly painted by an artist. The entire scene is depicted entirely in Byzantine fashion of the late Byzantine period (1204-1453). “Alexander Romance” in S. Giorgio dei Greci in Venice Ελληνικά: Ο ζωγράφος φθάνει κρυφά στο ανάκτορο του Αλεξάνδρου και τον ζωγραφίζει κρυφά. Ο ζωγράφος παραδίδει στην Κανδάκη το πορτρέτο του Αλεξάνδρου και εκείνη το κρύβει. |
