For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachtschiffe am Pier
Zentralbild Sindermann 29.10.1969- Rostock: Containerverkehr zwische der DDR und England erweitert-Nach einjährigem erfolgreichen Container-Verkehr über See zwischen Rostock und London-Tilbury ist dieser Liniendienst am 28.10.1969 mit dem Einsatz des 2700-tdw-Container-Frachters "Pinguin" erweitert worden. Nach MS "Falke" wird küftig MS "Pinguin" als zweites Containerschiff der Deutschen Seereederei auf dieser Relation eingesetzt. Als Vorteile der neuen Transportart haben sich u. a. beschleunigter Güterumlauf, geringere Verpackungskosten und verminderte Ladungsschäden sowie Einsparung von Arbeitszeit erwiesen.
