For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild ADN-Kairo-28.11.1960 "Völkerfreundschaft" in Alexandria-VAR. Der Kapitän des FDGB-Urlauberschiffes "Völkerfreundschaft" gab am 14.11.1960 für den Gouverneur von Alexandria, den Oberbürgermeister und andere hervorragende Vertreter der Hafenstadt an Bord des Schiffes einen Empfang. Die Begegnung verlief in einer freundschaftlichen und aufgeschlossenen Atmosphäre. Die Gäste äusserten sich anerkennend über die großzügigen Urlaubsmöglichkeiten der Werktätigen der DDR.
