| Description |
Deutsch: Gemäß dem in der Beschreibung des Bundesarchivs angegebenen Stapellaufdatum und dem Standort Libau handelt es sich um das Torpedoboot B 98, das nach Minentreffer am 15. Oktober nach Libau geschleppt werden konnte. Eine Abbildung in Fock: Z vor! zeigt B 98 aber mit einem noch weiter abgerissenen Vorschiff (bis zu den vorderen Einzeltorpedorohren). Das könnte auch das Torpedoboot B 111 sein, dass zwei Tage später sein Vorschiff durch Minenexpolsion eingebüßt hat
English: regarding the information given by the federal archives the picture shows german torpedoboat B 98, heavily damaged after it struck a mine on october the 15th. It was later towed to the port of Libau. According to another photograph, published in Focks book Z vor!, the damage to B 98 was even heavier, showing her with a torn off bow up to the forward torpedo tubes. It´s possible the torpedoboat B 111. |
