Philistins emportant l'Arche d'Alliance (en arrière-plan) : Les Philistins emportent l'Arche d'Alliance dans la ville d'Ashdod afin de la déposer dans le temple de Dagôn, leur dieu. Bataille de Gelboé : Les Philistins sont victorieux des Hébreux à la bataille de Gelboé. Saül, épuisé et blessé, mais soucieux de ne pas tomber vivant aux mains de l'ennemi, prie un jeune Amalécite de le tuer. Ce dernier emporte la couronne du roi.
