Description
Nederlands: Foto uit de collectie Huizinga van het NIOD. Schade aan de bebouwing nadat het Bezuidenhout op 3 maart per ongeluk door de Engelsen werd gebombardeerd. Het eigenlijke doel was het Haagse Bos, een park dat de Duitse raketeenheden al enige tijd gebruikten om hun V2-raketten op te slaan, voordat ze werden gelanceerd. Door een fout in de opdracht vielen de bommen zo'n beetje overal in de woonwijk het Bezuidenhout (ten zuiden van het Haagse Bos).Ruim 550 mensen stierven. Menno Huizinga was onderdeel van de Ondergedoken Camera en maakte illegaal foto’s tijdens de bezetting. Dit deed hij hoofdzakelijk in zijn woonplaats Den Haag.
