Description
Nederlands: Deze kaart van het Kwartier Nijmegen van het Hertogdom Gelre werd uitgegeven door Frederik de Wit (1630-1706). De kaart is gebaseerd op een veel oudere kaart die de kartograaf Nicolaes van Geelkercken (ca. 1585-1656) in de dertiger jaren van de 17de eeuw maakte voor de geschiedschrijving van Gelderland door Johan Isaksson Pontanus.
English: The map of the District Nijmegen of the Duchy of Gelre was published by Frederik de Wit (1630-1706). The map was based on a much older map from the hand of Nicolaas van Geelkercken (c. 1585-1656). Van Geelkercken produced the map in the thirties of the 17th century for the purpose of historiography of Gelderland by Johan Isaksson Pontanus.
