RPPC showing one of the Tennessee class Armored Cruisers, ( either the Washington, North Carolina or the Montana, the Tennessee was lost in 1916, I think it was the Washington, now renamed USS Seattle ) sometime in the 1920's in the Pedro Miguel Lock of the Panama Canal. On rear of post card was written " S.W.A.K. Dear Ones I would give every thing I ever possessed if I were only home with you dear ones Well dear ones seeing I can't be with you my thought are with you all just the same your true and every loving son forever. Alex " note the complete lack of punctuation, my grandfather wrote just like this, one long sentence
