English: Typical country sight of the Alentejo near Elvas, the Portuguese region south of River Tagus. The trees in the foreground are cork oaks (Quercus suber), together with the remains of a cut wheat field . In second and third plan we can see vineyards (Vitis vinifera) and olive trees (Olea europea). Wheat, cork, olive oil and wine are the most typical productions of the Alentejo.
