English: A photograph captured by US forces from the Kwajalein Atoll in 1944 of a Japanese Akizuki class destroyer underway around the port. Due to the positioning of machine guns and the fire control director behind the aft turrets, this would have to be from the first sub class of Akizuki class destroyers. When accessing their tabular record of movements, only the Suzutsuki and Hatsuzuki were ever nearby Kwajalein, meaning the photo has to be either of those two. |
