| Description |
English: Soviet soldiers of the 56th Separate Air Assault Brigade near a mountain stream performing a combat mission in the Wardak province of Afghanistan during the Soviet-Afghan War. The nearest soldier has water canteens hanging from his vest; he has an RPO-A "Shmel" incendiary rocket launcher on his back. The two ahead of him on the right have AKS-74 rifles. The fourth one in the column is holding an ammo belt for the DShK heavy machine gun. The last one is gathering water in his canteen from the river.

Подразделение 56-й отдельной десантно-штурмовой бригады (56 одшбр) Отдельного контингента советских войск в Афганистане (ОКСВА) на боевом задании в горах провинции Вардак у горного ручья. Ближний боец обвешан флягами с водой; на спине у него ручной одноразовый огнемёт "Шмель". У следующего на правом плече АК-74 откидной. Четвёртый обвешан лентами для крупнокалиберного пулемёта ДШК.
