Fort Hamanhiel.

Dit fort was strategisch gelegen in de vaarweg naar Jaffnapatnam. Het werd in 1658 ingenomen zodat ook Jaffnapatnam op de Portugezen veroverd kon worden.

Fort Hamanhiel.

The fort was strategically situated, in the waterway to Jaffnapatnam. It was taken in 1658 so that Jaffnapatnam, too, could be captured from the Portuguese.
