Summary

Description A shrapnel from a 80 mm mortar shell, once fired from Fjell festning (Norway) during WWII. As Fjell festnings close defence was never involved in fighting, this must be from an exercise. The shell is the remaints of Wurfgranate 34 (Wgr 34), designed for standard medium mortar Granatenwerfer 34 (Grw 34).
