| Description | 330-PS-1223 (USN 708165): French sailors examine the well preserved three-inch deck gun onboard USS Riddle (DE 185), which was recently taken out of the “mothball fleet.” Riddle will go to France under terms of the Mutual Defense Assistance Program. These French naval personnel are the first of an estimated group of 200 men who will take delivery of naval vessels at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
