Deutsch: Das bedeutendste Bauwerk und bekannteste Wahrzeichen Belgrads ist die Belgrader Festung. Die strategische Lage begünstigte hier seit der Antike eine städtische Befestigung.Die Festung teilt sich in die Ober- und Unterstadt. Die Oberstadt thront auf einem Kalksporn in 125 m Höhe, 50 m darunter erstreckte sich die Unterstadt auf der Alluvialebene im Save-Delta. Im Mündungsdelta der Save in die Donau liegt die Große Kriegsinsel. |
