English: BRP CONRADO YAP (PS39) held a Graduation Ceremony of the Conrado Yap Class Corvette Qualification Course (CYCCQC) CL-05 composed of 22 Students and Convening Ceremony of the Damage Control Personnel Qualification Standards (DCPQS) CL-02 composed of 29 Students last 01 June 2022 aboard PS39.

Conrado Yap Class Corvette Qualification Course aims to familiarize and equip newly-reported Personnel with the right knowledge and skills needed to be competent in performing various shipboard tasks and gain proficiency in their respective fields of expertise. This Course will give them a broad knowledge and understanding about the warfare capabilities of this Anti-Submarine Class Corvette Vessel.

On the other hand, the Damage Control Personnel Qualification Standards Course will focus on various emergency situations aboard the ship such us Fire and Collision Drills which will mold the personnel to be more attentive in what actions shall be done in case of emergency.

“Learning is a continuous process. It does not stop from graduation. You must always endeavour to learn what has not been taught in the classroom as you go on. Apply what you have learned in your course and enhance it through your experience aboard this Vessel”, said Commander Mendoza.

Furthermore, CDR MENDOZA congratulated and gave his utmost gratitude to the Training Officer, Course Director, Training Instructors and Staffs for the successful completion of the said Course.
