한국어: 아래 동아일보 기사의 사진 설명 : "1945년 8월 18일 平壤(평양)에서 있은 北韓(북한) 주둔 日本(일본) 제5군 항복식에 참석한 조만식(曺晩植) 선생㊧)과 일본군 후루카와 쇼지 중장㊥, 蘇聯(소련) 제25군 치스차코프 (Иван Михайлович Чистяков, Ivan Mikhailovich Chistyakov, 1900 - 1979) 대장㊨." - 이것은 사진을 제공한 레오니드 바신의 증언에 의한 것이나, 그의 기억은 정확하지 않다. 치스차코프가 평양에 처음 도착한 날은 실제로는 8월 26일이며, 이날 일본군 평양사관구(平壤師管區) 사령관 다케시타 요시하루(竹下義晴) 중장을 자신의 숙소인 철도호텔로 불러서 항복을 받으면서 찍은 사진으로 조만식도 입회하였다. 같은 날 밤 평안남도지사 후루카와 가네히데(古川兼秀)를 철도 호텔로 불러 행정권 이양을 받는 사진도 있는데, 바신은 일본인 이름들을 정확히 기억하지 못하고 혼동도 일으킨 것으로 보인다. 다케시타 요시하루(竹下義晴)는 일본 육사 23기 졸업생으로 김경천(金擎天, 1888 ~ 1942)과 동기이다.
