English: Peter & Paul Fortress, St.-Petersburg, Russia. The Peter and Paul Fortress has been put in 1703 according to plan of Peter I and the French engineer Zhozefa Lambera де Gerena, originally was a tree-earthen, but in 1706-1740, under the direction of D.Trezini, has been enclosed by a stone. The height of a spike of the Peter and Paul cathedral makes 122,5 meters. Daily midday is marked by a single shot from a cannon (tradition since Peter I). St.-Petersburg, Russia.
Русский: Петропавловская крепость была заложена в 1703 году по плану Петра I и французского инженера Жозефа Ламбера де Герена, первоначально была деревоземляной, но в 1706-1740 годах, под руководством Д. Трезини, была обнесена камнем. Высота шпиля Петропавловского собора составляет 122,5 метра. Ежедневно полдень отмечается холостым выстрелом из пушки (традиция со времен Петра I). Санкт-Петербург, Россия.
