| Description |
Объект 292 (Object 292) was a Soviet experimental tank built in September 1990. It was based on the T-80 chassis but used a new turret which was fully interchangeable with the standard T-80 turret. It was armed with a 152 mm smooth bore gun, the rifled variant of tank's armament was never finished. Trials in 1991 showed high stability and reliability of the gun and the tank itself. However, the project was cancelled due to lack of funding. It is now on display outside at what is known as the Kubinka Tank Museum, although it is now officially titled Area 2 of the Park Patriot Museum. Kubinka, Moscow Oblast, Russia. 24th August 2017 |
