English: The Battle of Kurekdere took place in 1854 as part of the Crimean War. It started when the Ottoman army of Kars marched towards Gyumri to attack the Russian force commanded by General Vasili Bebutov, already weakened with detachments. The battle was related with great spirit and the defeat of the Ottoman army by the Russian forces.

Türkçe: Kurekdere Muharebesi, 1854 yılında Kırım Savaşı esnasında gerçekleşmiştir. Kars üzerinden Gümrü'deki Rus kuvvetlerine saldıran Osmanlı güçleri şiddetli çarpışmalar sonucu Rus kuvvetleri arafından bozguna uğatılmıştır.[1] Ruslar topyekün saldıran yaklaşık 40,000 Osmanlı kuvvetine yarısı kadar bir kuvvetle karşı koymuşlardır. Osmanlı ordusundaki yönetim aksaklıkları ve üst üste yapılan stratejik hatalar muharebeyi kaybettirmiş savaşın süresi uzamıştır. Daha sonra başarısız olan yöneticiler görevden alınacaktır. Bu muharebe sonrası bölgede dört ay askeri harekat olmamıştır.
Українська: Битва при Курекдере відбулася 6 серпня 1854 року між російською армією чисельністю 25 000 солдат та турецькою в 35 000 чоловік. Битва закінчилася перемогою російської армії.
